Bakersfield to Three Rivers

Friday, April 05, 2013

We have arrived at the Sequoia Ranch RV Park which is about 8 miles from the Sequoia National Park. We had a quick drive up to the visitors center to get some info for our visit tomorrow.

We are camped under trees and surrounded by mountains, it's quite beautiful.

But since there are no Verizon towers in the area we are without phones until we leave.
We do have the internet through the RV Park so we can Skype and e-mail.

Below are some photo's we took while at the park on Wednesday. It was a long climb back up after seeing the General Sherman Sequoia. More exercise than I am used to at 7000 feet.

Then we drove on the Generals Highway to the General Grant Sequoia in the Kings Canyon National Park.

Many of the roads in both parks are closed until May but the drive and the walks we did take were quite enough for me. I was ready for my bed by the time we got back to the trailer.
