Middle of December 2011

Murphy's Law has an added component in our trailer. If the product is Chinese then the item is going to break as soon as the warranty expires.

We now have a new toilet after the first one over flowed because the return spring broke the plastic parts that it was working against. Luckily we were in the trailer and found it before we had any water damage.

Then the refrigerator stopped cooling and after a few recommendations from the repair guy we eventually turned it off over night and started it again next morning. So far it's working but we are keeping a eye on the temperature with an inside/outside wireless thermometer. The first time it went into a defrost cycle we called the repair guy again thinking it had stopped working again and he called the refrigerator manufacturer who said it will cycle every 49 hours after it has been turned off. So now we are trying to monitor the cycle too.

For John's birthday we went up to Venice Beach in the afternoon and walked on the beach for about an hour then we called in at Sharky's for a drink, it was a really pleasant afternoon.  Then in the evening, we had our neighbors Jack and Linda come over and join us for a supper of Alaskan King Crab Legs. We haven't had crab legs in a long while and they were really good.

On Wednesday we visited the Pig and Whistle again and this time I tried a mild Lamb Curry. A first for me, it was very good. John had the Duck, this time he was playing it safe.

John's Sister and Brother-in-Law arrived last Sunday, the 11th, and are now settled in. We usually get together for supper at one of the trailers tonight it's at their trailer and they are going to make an Indian dish, now that I have branched out and tried a curry.

John's hard drive just quit on him so now he is hoping he will be able to get it working long enough to copy his files over to another hard drive.
