Florida side trip

We arrived in Miami on the 8th and drove over to Port Charlotte  where we stayed in the Tropical Paradise Bed and Breakfast for 4 nights. It was lovely to sit by the pool and relax while looking out over the canal. The breakfast of fruit and yogurt followed by eggs in various forms plus meat and toast were more than we could manage to eat.

Then we drove back to Miami where John had some meetings at the Hyatt. We managed a trip out, on the local bus, to south beach for our daily walk one afternoon but it was a little too hot for me. I need to walk early in the morning. 

After Miami we went back to the Tropical Paradise B & B for another three days. Now we are on Clearwater Beach at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort.

Today I had my walk at 7 am on the beach. Just me the ocean and a the birds it was wonderful. I saw a Blue Heron who just ignored me as I walked by and a flock of seabirds that I didn't recognize. I will have to look them up.

Tomorrow we head to Florida City for our last few days we intend driving down to Key West for one of the days as we love the drive over the water. I might drop the diet for a piece of Key Lime pie while we are there.
