This was my first outing. I consider it a success, since I didn't end up with a submarine. As you can see, the steering is very responsive, and I over corrected a number of times. I'm still learning the fine details of sail trim, and since this outing I've added lots of tell tale aids to the sails. The wind was very light, and I'm surprised the boat went as well as it did. The boat uses 5 AA NiMH rechargeable batteries to power the sail and rudder servos, and they last about 4 hours. I've heard the range of the transmitter is over 1/2 mile, that will be long after I lose sight of it.
